BioSherlock Holmes is the world's greatest consulting detective. Native of North Riding in England, the youngest of three sons, Holmes' chief weapon is his brilliance. He is smarter than anyone else, largely through vigorous self-training and his innate powers of observation and deduction. With the smallest clues, he can piece together everything from the most insidious crime to what you had for breakfast. Despite his own skill, he rarely embarks upon any case without the aid of his business partner, biographer and closest friend, Dr. John H. Watson. Holmes is also a skilled violinist, horseman, pugilist, fencer and chemist. He smokes like a chimney.
Holmes is very reserved around those he does not know, but around those he does, he's a bit of a show-off. A brilliant and witty conversationalist, he can be incredibly charming when he wants to be. When he doesn't want to be, he can be proud, petulant and acrebic to the brink of rudeness. He is unfailingly courteous to women, but he doesn't trust them at all. He always tries to put reason before emotion, and although he can come off as a block of ice, he's not as cold as some think. He's habitually untidy and makes a horrible fellow lodger. (And although he'd never, ever admit it, he misses Watson like the dickens.)
